Description of coin One Ducat 1981:

Novodel coins with images of 1923 and the emblem of the RSFSR were issued by the state Bank of the USSR from 1975 to 1982 (in 1975 and 250 thousand in 1982 - 50 thousand, in other years at 1 million). Was produced in 1975-1977 and 1980-1982 at the Leningrad mint (letters "Л М Д"on the edge), and in 1977, 1980-1982 also at Moscow mint (letters "М М Д". Since 2001, the Soviet chervonets became one of the bullion coins and sold the banks at a special price. Banks also accept gold coins, the population is about 30% cheaper than the sales price.

The obverse of the coin in the center of the emblem sample of the RSFSR in 1918: surrounded by a wreath of ears shield with an image of a hammer and sickle on the background of sunlight. Under the coat of arms cartouche with the inscription "Р.С.Ф.С.Р." On top of the emblem is surrounded by a semicircle, over which a semicircle from left to right is the motto: "ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ!" The inscription is made in the old Slavonic font. Around along the rim there is a ring of raised dots.

The reverse shows standing on the farmer scattering seeds. Behind him on the left is the plough, in the distance is the silhouette of the plant and upward from the horizon the sun (symbol of socialism). At the top of old Slavonic font in a semicircle, nominal value - "ОДИН ЧЕРВОНЕЦ" Near the right leg of the sower along the rim the year of issue "1981". Around the image there is a ring of raised dots.

The chervonets was introduced by the Soviet government in the reform of 1922-1924 years as a currency tied to gold. Coins-coins were mainly used in foreign trade operations, and among the population went to paper cups.
