The obverse of the coin
in the ring of dots in relief is depicted the dome of the Senate building in the Moscow Kremlin and Spasskaya tower, right of the turret the mark of the Moscow mint
(stylized letters "ММД". The outside of the ring semi-circle along the rim inscriptions: at the top - "ТРИ РУБЛЯ 1994г." below - "БАНК РОССИИ"(the inscriptions are separated with a diamond-shaped ornament).On the coin reverse
against the background of the map of Europe on the right shows a large Soviet flag, symbolizing the liberation offensive of the Soviet troops, on the left of the flag of the United States and great Britain (allies of the USSR), converging at one point. In the middle of the card the date in two lines: "ИЮНЬ 1944" Up in a semicircle along the edge the inscription "ОТКРЫТИЕ" downstairs also along the rim "ВТОРОГО ФРОНТА"

By the summer of 1944, Soviet troops moved West, was released a large part of the Soviet Union, there is a need not to allow Hitler's troops to regain strength and move to the East for the second time. In June began landing troops of the US and the UK in Normandy (Northern France), within three months the English channel was crossed by about 3 million soldiers, armored vehicles and weapons. It was the largest amphibious operation in history. The troops moved East, freeing the territory until they met with the red army on the Elbe river, where together moved to Berlin.
The only version of the release of this coin. Made proof finish with the use of stamps, polished to a mirror Shine, while the relief has not been polished. Ideally a mirror surface and frosted design. The term proof-like (proof-like) indicates the possible presence of barely visible defects in the production and sales, missing out on the proof (proof).
