depicts a portrait of Alexander Borodin from the front face to the left. To the left of the portrait: the bottom of the candle in the candleholder at the top - the device for carrying out chemical experiments; on the right a stave with notes. Under the portrait is the inscription "А.П.БОРОДИН" below years of life: "1833-1887".
The obverse and reverse of the coin features the speaker on the circumference of the piping.

Borodin, Alexander Porfirievich (1833-1887) was both a distinguished composer and the greatest chemist. In St. Petersburg was part of the organization of composers called "the Mighty handful", wrote many works, laid the foundations of an epic Symphony.
