Description of coin 1 ruble 1992 "Yakub Kolas, 110 years since the birth of":

The obverse of the coin vividly depicts St. Basil's Cathedral (Pokrovsky Cathedral) in Moscow, right underneath the mark of the Leningrad mint (stylized letters "ЛМД" upstairs on the left the emblem of the Bank of Russia: double-headed eagle with drooping wings. To the left along the rim, a semicircular inscription "БАНК" also right along the rim "РОССИИ" In the lower part of the field of coins of the specified denomination in two lines - "1 РУБЛЬ" beneath finely, the year of coinage - "1992".

The reverse of the coin depicts a relief portrait of Yakub Kolas in front, face to the right (on the shirt visible to the Belarusian national ornament). Below along the rim, a semicircular inscription: "ЯКУБ КОЛАС"(words separated by shirt). On the left the year of birth - "1882" on the right year of death, "1956".

The obverse and reverse of the coin features the speaker on the circumference of the piping.

Konstantin Mikhailovich Mitskevich (1882-1956) - the greatest Belarusian poet and writer, held the post of Vice-President of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences.
