On the obverse of the coins in the circle framed by Nosovym rim, is the relief picture of the emblem of the Bank of Russia — double-headed eagle with the lowered wings, under it an inscription a semicircle «БАНК РОССИИ» as well as on the circumference there are inscriptions, separated by dots: the denomination of the coin — «ТРИ РУБЛЯ»and the year of coinage — "2014", between them bear the label of metal on the Periodic system of elements di Mendeleev, fineness, trademark St. Petersburg mint
and weight of precious metal in purity.
On the reverse side of the coins are located relief images of the Small Hermitage in St. Petersburg and the statue of Jupiter from the Museum's collection, above — the monogram of Catherine II and the inscription in two lines «ЭРМИТАЖ 250»
On the front and reverse sides of the coin there is a raised rim around the circumference.
