On the obverse of the coins in the circle framed by Nosovym rim, is the relief picture of the emblem of the Bank of Russia - double-headed eagle with the lowered wings, under it an inscription a semicircle "БАНК РОССИИ" as well as on the circumference there are inscriptions, separated by dots: the denomination of the coin - "ТРИ РУБЛЯ"and the year of coinage - "2013", between them bear the label of metal on the Periodic system of elements di Mendeleev, fineness, the trademark of the Moscow mint
and weight of precious metal in purity.
On the reverse side of the coins are located relief images of MSU and Russian sailors in the time of the landing on the shore of the Amur river and meetings with the local population on a background map of the Far East and to the right of the sailing ship, top circumference has the inscription "ЭКСПЕДИЦИИ Г.И. НЕВЕЛЬСКОГО 1848-1855"
On the obverse and reverse sides of the coins along the circumference there is a raised rim.
