The obverse of the coin to the left of the center, specified value: a large figure "5" under the word "РУБЛЕЙ" Below the horizontal inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" which date is "2015". On the right side there is a stylized plant branch, near which is a mark
of the Moscow mint (consists of letters "ММД". On the left, near Kant is one small part of a floral ornament.
The reverse of the coin shows a fragment of the diorama "Sturm Sapun mountain" in Sevastopol. On a circle the inscription: top - "КРЫМСКАЯ СТРАТЕГИЧЕСКАЯ НАСТУПАТЕЛЬНАЯ ОПЕРАЦИЯ" below - "ВЕЛИКАЯ ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА 1941-1945 гг."(labels separated by five-pointed stars).
The obverse and reverse sides have a protruding on the circumference of the piping.
The coin was released on 18 December 2015.
The Crimean offensive operation lasted from 8 April to 12 may 1944. First, the liberation of the Northern part of the Peninsula the troops of the 4th Ukrainian front, and later with the support of the black sea fleet from Kerch started to approach the army, stationed in 1943 in near Eltigen. The most fierce battles were fought near Sevastopol on Sapun mountain, after which the city was able to take.
