The obverse of the coin depicts St. George on horseback, slaying a serpent. Under the front hoof of the horse is a symbol of the mint, which minted the coin (M -
Moscow). The bottom field of the coin around the circumference indicate the year of issue "2005" and above the inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" split the head of St. George into two parts.
On the reverse a large figure "1" indicated the denomination of the coin (the figure slightly off-center to the right). Below the floor "КОПЕЙКА" located in the center relative to the digit "1". Bottom left relief depicts a floral ornament, slightly protruding on the right side.
Around the circumference of the coin there is a raised rim. The edge is smooth, without any images and notches.
