Description of coin 1/3 of Tinta 1707 "Sestak":

Silver Sestak was produced only in 1707, has three varieties: letters "I-L" without the letters and with the ring inscription, without the letters and with interrupted inscription. By weight and the content of silver equal to half of Tinta, who was polnovesnoj coin with high rate.

The photo shows the instances from the exposition of the State Hermitage Museum that have a number: HE-P-2-1853 and IT-R-2-1582.

In 1704 the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (the state, uniting Poland and Lithuania) signed a contract with Narva Russia to unite against the common enemy - Sweden. It is possible to avoid further ruin of the cities, but greatly weakened the country. The presence on the territory of Poland by the Russian forces has necessitated the coinage for the territory of the special coins tip and Shestack (1/3 of Tinta or 6 pennies) with a portrait of Peter I and Russian inscriptions. The use of the Russian money of the new sample for this area was uncomfortable because of the different local weights of coins, and trust to the silver flakes was very low. Coinage of the Commonwealth was called "Tipovoi business."
The coins presented in the photos are in the collections of their owners and are not sold
