On the obverse is a portrait of Peter the Great in profile, face to the right. Of the circumference - "ЦРЬ ПЕТРЪ АЛЕSIЕВИЧЪ ВСЕА РОСIИ ПОВЕЛIТЕЛЬ"("Tsar Pyotr Alexeyevich, All-Russian ruler").
On the coin reverse in the center the emblem of Russia at the beginning of the XVIII century - double-headed eagle with outstretched wings, on the heads of the Royal crown, over which is the same, but larger. In paws the eagle holds the symbols of power - the scepter and Orb. In a circle the inscription: - "МАНЕТА ДОБРАА ЦЕНА РОБЛЬ"and the year of issue of the old Slavonic letters ("҂АѰД"- "1704").
