The trial edition of the Saint-Petersburg mint
(letters "С.П.Б." without the initials of mintmaster. The design matches the coin 1839-1848 years.The obverse of the coin
shows the monogram of Nicholas I (the large stylized letter "Н" over her great Imperial crown, below the Roman numeral "I"with horizontal corrugation).On the coin reverse
at the top of the fraction, nominal value: number "1" underneath a horizontal line, and the figure "2" (i.e. 1/2). Under par in two lines, the inscription - "КОПЕЙКИ СЕРЕБРОМ"(reference to the silver ruble), below that horizontal line, consisting of two tapering towards the edges of the lines with a dot in the middle, under it the date of issue "1840.". At the bottom of the letters "С.П.Б."(Saint-Petersburg).
