A remake of project coin, produced in 1762, the originals on this date are unknown.
The obverse depicts St. George on horseback slaying a serpentine dragon with wings. Above the Saint's head is a five-pointed star.
On the reverse at the top of the par - "ДЕНГА" underneath the date is "•1760•". In the lower part there is an image of a military drum and other instruments on the background of the banners.
Coins of this type was developed by count P. I. Shuvalov to increase the mint of the foot 2 times (up to 32 rubles from pounds of copper). Under Elizabeth to realize the project did not, and with coming to power of Emperor Peter III began a massive pereselenka old coins into new ones with higher nominal value of 2 times.
Because of the image of military fittings, coins of this type have received unofficial names "drum" and "reinforcement". In 1763 Catherine the great ordered the return of the old weight coins, and then almost weight the period of her reign were pereselenka with a return to former value, but with new patterns and monogram of Catherine.
