The coin of this type (with a portrait of Catherine II in adulthood) was produced in 1777-1783, 1785-1786 and in 1795-1796. The circumference of the front and back sides, a rim consisting of teeth (Kant can be partially or completely absent).
On the obverse is a portrait of Catherine II in profile, face to the right. Under the portrait letters "СПБ"(Saint-Petersburg). In a circle the inscription - "Б•М•ЕКАТЕРИНА•II•IМП•IСАМОД•ВСЕРОСС•"(stands for "the grace of God Catherine II Empress and autocrat of all Russias").
On the reverse in the Central circle there is a simplified depiction of the coat of Arms
of the Russian Empire double - headed eagle with scepter and Orb. There are four large cartouche with images: the crown (left), the Moscow coat of arms (top), coat of arms of the Kingdom of the Siberian (bottom), coat of arms of the Kingdom of Kazan (right). The top cartouche is crowned with the Imperial crown, the other normal crown. Between the cartouches are four small roses, over which digits of the year of minting - "1", "7", "8", "1". For KRUGOV along the rim the inscription, divided into 4 parts (starting from top) - "IМПРСКАЯ""РОССÏЙС""МОН•ЦЕНА""ДЕСЯТ•РУБ"(Imperial Russian coin, the price of ten rubles).

Portrait with long neck: 1777-1782 (SPB);
