The obverse depicts a simplified monogram of Catherine II, made up of letters "Е"(Catherine) and Roman numerals "II" Upstairs the Imperial crown. The sides have five raised dots in the circle, located along the rim (only 10 pieces).
On the reverse , nominal value - the number "10" above, below, inscription in two lines - "ДЕСЯТЬ КОПЕЕКЪ" Downstairs there is a double horizontal line, under which is listed the year "1796" underneath the letters "Е М"(Yekaterinburg coin).
In 1796, at the direction of P. Zubov was conducted lowering the copper coin of the foot 2 times, therefore a new design of coins from the penny to 10 cents.
