Description of coin Poltina 1802 (SPB AI):

The coin was produced from 1802 to 1805. The circumference of the front and back of the bezel is composed of two concentric rings with dots between them.

The obverse of the coin depicts the State Emblem of the Russian Empire first half of XIX century. The coat of arms double-headed eagle with raised wings, crowned by two Imperial crowns, above is the same crown but larger. Right Talon the eagle holds a scepter, the left - power. On the chest is placed a shield with the Moscow coat of arms: St. George on horseback slaying a serpentine dragon with wings. Moscow coat of arms surrounded by chain of the order of Saint Apostle Andrey Pervozvannogo. Under the clutches of an eagle located mintmaster the initials of the mint - letters "А"and "И"(mintmaster Alexander Ivanov). The emblem is surrounded by a continuous ring. In a circle along the rim below from left to right, nominal value - "МОНЕТА ПОЛТИНА" at the top of the year of issue "1802" (right from year to year and between words denomination is a large stylized point).
